Designer spotlight: Axel Vervoordt

Belgian interior designer Axel Vervoordt stands in the centre of  his element.
He speaks his design language so fluently and expresses it beautifully....

He does not overdo the recycled antiques, but simply matches it with soft, upholstered funishings pairing his modest furniture with earthy colours, keeping his palette soft and warm to the eye.

He uses wood like it's meant to be. Natural, not over-processed with lacquers, dye or dark wax.
His wall textures are unadorned with wall treatments, some in it's natural unpolished state.
His decor; not cluttered and minimal.
His overall spatial schemes and patterns are detailed with sophisticated symmetry and clean lines.

He truly is the epitome of minimal rustic.
