oh christmas tree, oh christmas tree.....

Grew up in a Jewish household in an extremely Catholic country.

So it's only natural that I always wanted a Christmas tree, but too bad I couldn't convince my father to let me have one. Perhaps if I could have shown him all these photos back then he would have let me have a non-traditional one like these.

a sack has never looked so good

I've got a slightly fanatical attraction to burlap, but then when I really look into it, I was using this material on my mixed media paintings back in 1997. So it's fair to say that it's been a longstanding fascination with this fabric.

What's not to like? It's natural fibres can be used in anything you can imagine. Furniture, table decor, soft furnishings, shoes (!) Something about the rough fibres, it's worn out look, textures and simply, it's diversity.

Obsessed? Yes. Extremely.

Completion: Palms Pointe

Think it's about time we update this baby.

And I think our goal for next year must be to post more inspiration, post more ideas and perhaps post more finished projects!

Remember this renovation?
