those mexican chairs

Rachel regularly travels to Guadalajara, Mexico. On her first trip, her  sharp eye spotted these chairs  tattered, stitched together, barely functional but she obviously sees the beauty of these chairs.....through its age and character.

And as I research through my files of  thousands of photo inspirations to prepare for a condominium project, I spotted this....

I too obviously saw the beauty of these chairs....great (design) minds think alike.

Forgive me for all the bedroom posts but as I'm still in dire need to do up my neglected bedroom, this seems to be all the research I have been up to recently.

Sleep like a princess

For as long as I remember, I've always wanted a canopy bed. 

I always thought it would make me feel like a princess and that I'd feel safe because if I wanted to hide I could just close the curtains and no one would see me. Now I just love it.
